WK Dickson welcomes watershed services municipal advisor – Daryl Hammock, PE

WK Dickson welcomes Daryl Hammock, PE, a seasoned stormwater expert, to its watershed services team. Daryl commenced his journey more than 30 years ago with the City of Charlotte’s stormwater utility and has played a key leadership role in shaping and evolving the municipal stormwater landscape.

In his previous role as the assistant manager of the Southeast’s largest stormwater utility, Daryl spearheaded a $100 million annual program, leading nearly 250 staff members. His responsibilities encompassed all facets of utility management, demonstrating proficiency in identifying operational needs, developing personnel, ensuring quality in project outcomes, meeting schedules for maintenance and capital investments, and exceeding customer and city leader expectations. Daryl’s extensive experience is valuable to our clients, offering a distinctive municipal perspective on stormwater utility management.

During his tenure with the city, Daryl collaborated and engaged diverse disciplines across the organization, developing innovative approaches to meet funding requirements and proactively preparing for the future. Daryl’s ability to garner support from stakeholders and successfully implement transformative changes underscores his passion for advancing stormwater management practices.

Daryl is a certified Professional Engineer in North Carolina and has a B.S. in civil engineering from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
