Wrightsville Beach Public Safety Building, Wrightsville Beach, NC

The Wrightsville Public Safety Building included the design of the new 2 story, 26,000 complex for the Fire and Police Departments on a 12.8 acre parcel that was previously developed with the existing government complex buildings and parking facilities. The site plan included 70 parking spaces and rear driveways for emergency vehicle use. Specific services included demolition plan, site layout, grading, drainage, erosion control, site utilities, and stormwater management. Stormwater management design was performed in accordance with current NCDENR coastal county regulations. The project included coordination with the geotechnical investigation and a traffic impact analysis, as well as preparation of permit applications to include stormwater management permitting (Town, County, and State), erosion control permitting (County and State), and application for approval of the water system (State). Upon completion of the design phase, WK Dickson assisted the Owner with bidding and construction administration services.
