Richland Creek Interceptor, Raleigh Public Utilities Department, NC

This $9.5 million project alleviated peak wet weather conveyance and to handle flows projected through the planning horizon by rehabilitating or replacing 25,000 LF of 8 to 36-inch sewers and installing two double-barrel 16-inch siphons under the Neuse River. During design WK Dickson identified a reroute option and construction sequence that was more appealing to NCDOT and eliminated conflicts with existing utilities.
