New ARFF Building, Greer, SC

This project at the Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport (GSP) consisted of the design and construction of a single-story, 20,000 SF Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) station building to replace an aging existing ARFF facility that no longer met airport requirements and to allow future expansion of the terminal building and associated apron. The building consists of truck bays, living quarters for fire fighters, offices, training room, day room, kitchen, workout room, lockers, equipment storage areas and reception area. The project also included site modifications for landside public access and vehicle parking, vehicle access to airfield, gated vehicle landside access and required support equipment. Working along side architects Leo A Daly and DP3, WK Dickson provided project management and civil engineering services for this $7.5M project.
