Meadowridge Storm Drainage Improvements, Charlotte, NC

The project included a detailed study of existing drainage conditions in an 81-acre watershed, improvement recommendations, design of selected alternatives, permitting, and construction observation. The hydrologic and hydraulic analysis compared the existing infrastructure to City standards. Included analysis of 4,450 LF of open channels and culverts and 2,500 LF of secondary conveyance system to determine stream conditions, hydraulic characteristics, extent of flooding, and stream stabilization potential. Throughout the planning and design phases of the project, WK Dickson coordinated participation from property owners via public meetings and individual property owner meetings. The design and construction phase of the project included the development of construction documents, stream stabilization, utility relocation/design, 404/404 permitting, traffic control, erosion control, structural design, and agency coordination.
