WK Dickson wins aircraft rescue & fire fighting project at GSP
WK Dickson (in conjunction with Leo A Daly) was recently awarded an FF, which stands for Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) project for the Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport, SC. This project will consist of the design of a single-story, 20,000 SF ARFF building to replace an aging existing ARFF facility that no longer meets airport requirements and will allow future expansion of the terminal building and associated apron. The building consists of truck bays, living quarters for fire fighters, offices, training room, day room, kitchen, workout room, lockers, equipment storage areas and reception area. The project will also include site modifications for landside public access and vehicle parking, vehicle access to airfield, gated vehicle landside access and required support equipment.
