Burj Dubai's is a supertall skyscraper currently under construction in Dubai. When it is completed in late 2008, it is predicted to be the tallest man-made structure in the world, surpassing 2,063 feet. Made from reinforced concrete, it has the record for vertical concrete pumping (for any construction) at 1,972 feet.

The Hoover Dam was the first single structure to contain more masonry than the Great Pyramid at Giza. The concrete used to make the Hoover Dam was set with cooling tubes that sped up a process which would normally have taken more than a century to harden.
