Away from work he was an avid water skier who loved trick skiing. Jay was the president of both the Atlanta Water Ski Club and the Georgia Water Ski Federation.

Jay was a critical element in the success of the Atlanta branch office for eight years. He played a major part in growing the Aviation market and establishing our unique brand of service. He performed work at 16 airports in Georgia including major improvements at Cherokee County Airport, Pickens County Airport, and Thompson McDuffie Regional Airport to name a few. Jay quickly developed a reputation in the engineering industry as someone who was very personally involved in seeing that all clients, regardless of job size, received the best outcome desired.
